T-Mobile Executive Team

Greetings,

I hope this email finds you well. As we navigate the transformative advancements of 2025, it is an exciting time for the industry, particularly with the rapid evolution of AI-RAN and the path to 6G. The intent of this newsletter is to share more about Samsung Networks' achievements and our vision for shaping the future of wireless networks.

Samsung has pioneered a software-centric approach, fully decoupling hardware and software to achieve performance and feature parity. This foundation has enabled us to deploy vRAN solutions at over 50,000 sites globally, with recent expansions through partnerships with TELUS and Vodafone. Our competitors are still in the early stages of vRAN and AI-RAN adoption, allowing Samsung to maintain a significant lead in deployments and accelerating future advancements.

We are committed to providing operators with the freedom to choose their preferred CPU or GPU path, ensuring protection from stranded investments and true separation of hardware and software. Samsung continues to expand our supported baseband platforms and will include future GPUs as they reach the feasibility stage for processing at the cell site. Samsung is also taking an active part to drive this feasibility as we just entered into a landmark partnership with NVIDIA involving an AI factory equipped with 50,000 GPUs and expanded joint AI-RAN development initiatives.

Samsung Networks is poised to lead the industry in AI-RAN and 6G, offering unparalleled flexibility, innovation, and optionality.

I look forward to discussing this further and exploring how we can collaborate to shape the future of wireless networks.

Sincerely,

Wilf Norrlinger
Vice President, Networks Business
